Admission Requirements for Secondary Students (Ages 6 to 17) at HEYA Education

Thank you for considering HEYA Education for your child's secondary education. We aim to make the admission process as transparent as possible. Below are the key requirements:

Age Requirement:

Prospective students should be between the ages of 6 and 17 to be eligible for admission.

Assessments:

To ensure HEYA’s programs are a good fit, we require all students to pass HEYA administered Strengths Assessment. This helps to give us a more comprehensive understanding of who each student is so that we can develop a truly personalized pathway that will meet their needs. For Secondary students, we employ different methods below. These assessments will be determined by the directors based on individual needs.

  • MIDAS (Multiple Intelligences Developmental Assessment Scales)

  • THOMAS (Test of Mental Abilities and Styles)

  • SCAT Test (School and College Ability Test) for those enrolling in John Hopkins CTY Program.

  • Portfolio Submission for students with artistic talents. Approval from HEYA's directors is required.

Academic Records:

Submission of academic records, including transcripts, report cards, and standardized test scores from the previous school.

Medical Records:

Complete medical records, including information on allergies, medications, and health considerations, are required.

Parental Interview:

An informal interview with parents or guardians to discuss the child's needs and expectations and to provide an overview of our educational approach.

We strive to provide a well-rounded and supportive environment for our students. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact our admissions office.

Artistic Pathway (Portfolio Submission):

Students interested in artistic pathways can submit a portfolio

English Proficiency Testing:

All students are required to take an English proficiency test to assess language skills.
